A Local's Guide to Enjoying Stowe Fall Foliage

Dinner with a View

Enjoy top-notch outdoor dining with Stowe's best mountain view. With its casual elegance and spectacular views of Mount Mansfield, The Roost is the perfect perch to enjoy the incredible Vermont scenery and fall-inspired cocktails. Finish your evening with toasted marshmallows around a roaring fire because nothing says autumn in Vermont like s'mores.

Take a Moment to Get Lost

Plan an a-maze-ing afternoon and head on down to the Percy Farm Corn Maze! open through the fall. Make friends with the kids and calves, take your (leashed) dog for a stroll and get a little lost along the way.

Topnotch Stables & Gentle Giants

Vermont looks especially beautiful on horseback and there is no better time to enjoy the foliage from a very different perspective. The Topnotch Stables offers trail rides through the spectacular Stowe woods and meadows or take the entire family for a carriage ride, led by a team of Gentle Giants draft horses.

You Can Take it With You

Vermont loves local! Did you know Vermont leads the nation in community-supported agriculture, organic producers, and farmers' markets? Visit the Stowe Farmers' Market every Sunday through October 10. And if you can't get enough of unique and one-of-a-kind items visit the 38th Annual Stowe Foliage Arts Festival, held this year at the Topnotch Field, August 8 through 10. Everythings Coming Up Apples

Picture this, a picture-perfect drive through one of Vermont's prettiest scenic routes to Stony Grove orchard in Jeffersonville, VT where you can partake in one of New England's most beloved Autumn pastimes - apple picking! Apple pie tastes good, but apple pie made with Cortland apples you've picked yourself? Amazing. So bring a taste of Vermont home with you!
