Stowe Cider Tasting Room

Can of Stowe Cider Smugglers' Reserve hard cider beside a bowl of powdered sugar-dusted pastries on a wooden table.

Stowe Cider turns Vermont apples into hard cider with real personality, and the tasting room is the best place to try the full lineup. High & Dry is a super-dry cider made with nothing but apples, Tips Up is semi-dry and balanced, and Safety Meeting picks up bright citrus and tropical notes from Citra and Galaxy hops. Mountain Glow adds a gentle ginger kick with lemon and orange zest, and the taproom regularly pours exclusive releases you can only get there. If cider isn’t your thing, the full bar also serves local beer, cocktails, and nonalcoholic options, along with snacks to go with your drink. Seating spreads from the taproom to the patio and the cider garden, with live music on weekends.

The tasting room sits between Stowe village and the mountain, about five minutes from Topnotch, and West Branch Gallery & Sculpture Park is right next door if you’d like to pair your cider with a little art. Seating is first-come, first-served, so check Stowe Cider’s website or Instagram for hours and the weekend music lineup before you go. Line up a designated driver, then head back to Topnotch with a few cans for later, since the best souvenir from Stowe Cider is the one you get to drink.
