STOWE, Vt., June 2, 2020 – With the days inching closer to the official start of summer, Topnotch Resort in Stowe, Vt. has announced plans to resume guest room and townhouse operations starting June 4th for Vermont residents, and is accepting reservations for guests from outside of Vermont starting June 15th.

The 120-acre 68-room property with expansive views of Mount Mansfield will resume operations of its complement on-property amenities, while following all required health and safety protocols as directed by the CDC, the state of Vermont, and the American Hotel and Lodging Association. Resort guests will have access to the outdoor pool as well as the outdoor tennis facilities, on-property hiking trails, and direct access to the Stowe recreation path.

Additional amenities and guest services will resume on a gradual basis throughout June, including indoor fitness, the indoor pool, additional spa services, and food and beverage operations in The Roost Restaurant.

The Spa at Topnotch is reopening on June 5th  for guests in need of a post-lock-down haircut, color and/or style, manicure or pedicure. Reservations must be made in advance either online or by calling (802) 253-6463. Massage services and indoor fitness will resume June 18th.

Tennis at Topnotch will resume June 8th for outdoor play, operating daily except Sundays through June. Our pros will be available for private and semi-private lessons. Reservations must be made in advance by emailing or calling (802) 253-6463.

The Roost Restaurant will resume operations on June 18th for Thursday-Sunday dining with take-out service and outdoor seating. The restaurant will feature breakfast daily and an all-day menu with The Roost favorites including Smoked Duck Flatbread and the Roost Burger, as well as special dinner options. Indoor service will resume in July, pending state guidance.

Mountain Ops Outdoor Gear, located on property, will clean, disinfect and deliver any rental equipment guests may need during their stay, from fishing poles and bait to mountain bikes and helmets.

As Topnotch Resort awakens and travelers step into the fresh air of Vermont summer, the following special packages are available for guests to enjoy the exclusive opportunity to restore, rest and relax in their own private mountain escape:

  • The Vermont Resort Summer Getaway Package, featuring three accommodation options to keep your family together but with extra space between neighboring guests:
    • Two adjoining Double, Queen or King rooms on the first or second floor
    • A spacious suite with separate living areas, private decks
    • A resort home, featuring two or three bedrooms with individual bathrooms, separate living and dining rooms, full kitchens, laundry, fireplaces, and private decks and wooded yards
    • Nightly rates starting at $799 per night

Following guidance from local, state and federal public health authorities regarding social distancing, cleaning and personal protective equipment, the company outlined new cleaning and disinfecting standards for public spaces and communal areas, guest rooms, restaurants and bars, meeting and retail spaces, pools, and any area where guests or team members queue including the lobby, concierge, elevator, spa and retail. Guests should come prepared and follow all CDC and local health guidance including practicing good hygiene and social distancing, wearing facial coverings in public spaces, and staying home and not visiting while sick.

The award is given to properties with housekeeping that significantly surpasses expectations, as measured during the AAA inspector’s comprehensive on-site inspections, and signifies that Topnotch Resort is among the top 25 percent of all hotels based on cleanliness and condition.

Based on requirements mandated by the state of Vermont, Topnotch Resort will open first to guests from Vermont, or from other locales who are able to certify that they have completed a 14-day quarantine in Vermont prior to arriving at Topnotch Resort, through June 15 th . Updates to these requirements will be posted at as the state issues additional or amended guidance.
