 About “Play to Win”
“Play to Win” is a relatively new and highly successful instructional approach derived from careful analysis of the best professional players. It incorporates all aspects of tennis skills and breaks them down into three easy-to-learn categories: “Technique to Win” (stroke production), “Train to Win” (footwork skills), and “Think to Win” (highly successful strategies). “Play to Win” is fast-paced and enjoyable and, under the careful direction of Topnotch’s Professional Tennis Staff, guaranteed to improve every player’s game!

Cutting Edge Technologies and Other Amenities
Topnotch Tennis Center continues to offer the latest tennis technology including "Boomer, the Most Intelligent Ball Machine" and Dartfish Video Analysis. Dartfish helps players visualize, analyze and make improvements while on the court. In addition, Topnotch Resort and Spa features a newly renovated and expanded, multi-million dollar, 35,000 square-foot Spa with 120 pampering treatments.

Hours
Topnotch Tennis Center is open 365 days a year. Hours vary seasonally. Check with the Topnotch Tennis Welcome Center (802.253.9649) for current hours of operation.
Lessons
Tennis academies, clinics and private instruction for beginners to competitive players are offered year-round and are taught by the Topnotch professional tennis staff. Advance registration is required for all tennis instruction. To reserve a spot in the Academy or Clinic or to request a private lesson, call the Tennis Center (802.253.9649).
Round Robins
To meet new players or other tennis-playing guests Topnotch Tennis Center offers Round Robins. This program hosts several singles, doubles and mixed doubles round robins.

Under the direction of Milan Kubala, Topnotch Tennis Academy, rated #1 in the Northeast by Tennis Magazine, offers top-rate instruction for all levels and ages of players.
Milan Kubala, Director of Tennis
“Having experience with international competition and professional tennis and seeing what it takes, I feel that I can show players how to get to their top. My daily focus is on improving each player’s passion for the game of tennis. Tennis is a life-long sport that can help participants become winners in any aspect of life. I want each person I bring into contact with the sport to experience success, whether it be at the beginner or competitive, amateur or professional level. Kubala comes to Topnotch from the Midland Community Tennis Center in Michigan, where he was the director of tennis operations. He has served as Michigan state president, district vice president, and executive member of the US Professional Tennis Association Midwest Division since 2000, and has been a popular lecturer on tennis marketing, teaching, and management at the USPTA Tennis Conventions since 1997.
Milan Kubala attended the prestigious PSK Olymp Prague Tennis Academy in the Czech Republic and was a member of the 1991 Czech National Championship Team. In addition, Milan held ITF World Junior Tennis Ranking and a top 10 NCAA Ranking.
Shaun Zemanek, Head Staff Professional
Shaun Zemanek joins the Topnotch Tennis team all the way from Brisbane, Australia. As a junior he was ranked in Queensland’s Top 10 for singles and doubles.
Shaun has also worked as the Head Pro at the Hayman Island Resort. As one of the top resorts, in the world Shaun played with guests such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and tennis-great Jennifer Capriati.
Shaun has also had the experience of training with former world No. 1 Pat Rafter and Scott Draper, a former Top 50 player. He brings with him a lot of competitive playing and coaching experience, from working under former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash at the Cash/Hopper Academy from 2002-2003.
Shaun has achieved Level 2 advanced accreditation with the A.T.P.C.A, which he has held for ten years. Also he is a PTR certified professional.
Staff
All Topnotch Tennis Professionals are USPTA/PTR certified. The international professional staff is experienced in teaching all aspects of “Play to Win” and can guarantee improvement with the Technique to Win, Train to Win and Think to Win instructional approaches.
Required Tennis Attire
Attire specifically designed for tennis is required at all times:
- Proper tennis shoes. Dark-soled shoes, sandals, running shoes or hiking boots are not allowed and may cause injury.
- Proper dress. Bathing attire, jeans, sports bras for women, tank tops for men and other non-tennis dress is not appropriate.
- Shirts are required at all times.
Tennis Cancellation Policy
Topnotch Tennis Center requests a 24-hour notice for all cancellations including court-time, lessons, and academies. In the event that a 24-hour notification cannot be provided, 100% of the fee will by assessed (emergencies excepted). In the event of a late cancelation, 50% of the fee will be assessed. |
