Adult Academy
(May 15th – October 15th or by special request)

4 Students:1 Professional
Each day of the week, the Topnotch Tennis Academy features a different Stroke of the Day (see below). The morning 3-hour academy starts with an introduction to the Stroke of the Day and is followed by three 45-minute rotations in “Play to Win” including Technique to Win, Train to Win, and Think to Win, focusing on the specific stroke for that day. The lesson finishes with serve technique, footwork and strategy in Serve to Win.

Topnotch Junior Tennis Academy
"Top 10 Tennis Academy in the US" – Tennis Magazine

Focusing on the younger player, the Topnotch Professional team brings “Play to Win” to children ranging in age from 3 – 18 years. Children in the Junior Academy are placed in lessons based on age and ability.

June – September
The Junior Tennis Academy is conveniently offered adjacent to the Adult Tennis Academy from 9:00am to 12:00pm daily on the indoor and outdoor courts.

October – May
The Junior Tennis Academy ranges in length from 30 to 90 minutes on the four indoor courts and is offered Monday through Thursday.

PeeWee (ages 3 to 4)
This class focuses on coordination, hand-eye orientation, following directions, and working as a team. Activities, changing every 10 minutes, are fast-paced and high-energy, keeping the children involved and having fun.

Future Stars (ages 5 to 7)
Actual tennis technique, footwork and strategy in the Play to Win philosophy and beginning score keeping are introduced at this level in a fun, lively environment. A smaller court, lower net, and low-pressure tennis balls enhance the learning environment.

Rising Stars (ages 8 to 11)
The goal of Rising Stars is to prepare participants for competition and match play. The professional staff instructs students on how to hit the ball to achieve the desired results and begins instruction on serving. Participants use Play to Win to focus on the technical and tactical aspects of tennis.

Middle School and High School (ages 12 -14)
These classes are designed for recreational and competitive tennis players and focus on advanced technical instruction. Play to Win is used to emphasize all aspects of successful tennis including proper technique, footwork, and strategy in Technique to Win, Train to Win and Think to Win respectively.

Lessons & Clinics

Daily Mini Academy
An abbreviated version of the tennis academy is offered in the daily clinic from 1:00–2:30pm throughout the year. This one-hour clinic is an introduction to “Play to Win” and covers the technique, footwork and strategies integral to the successful “Play to Win” program. It is a fast-paced clinic for all abilities and features a 6:1 student to professional ratio. The Clinic presents a Stroke of the Day with the same emphasis as the Academy (see Stroke of the Day above).

Mornings & Evenings (October – May)
This 60 to 90-minute “Play to Win” clinic is available on weekday mornings or evenings. The Clinic features 30 minutes each of Technique to Win, Train to Win and Think to Win with emphasis on drills that make the heart race, improve stroke mechanics and take footwork skills to new levels.

Whether you are a first-time player just out for the day or have been playing for years and want to play seven days, we can create a specific Tennis Academy Package for you. For every three days you stay and play, you receive a complimentary half-hour private tennis lesson; stay over seven nights and you also receive a complimentary Video Analysis CD from our pros.  Customized Tennis Academies for groups are available throughout the year.

Pro Shop

Pro Shop
The Topnotch Tennis Pro Shop features apparel, equipment and tennis accessories for men, women, and children. Racquet repairs and rentals are also available. A knowledgeable staff is ready to assist with individual selection of styles and equipment and a large selection of the latest demo racquets is always in stock. Racquet customization, including same-day racquet stringing is also available. Pro Shop hours parallel facility hours.

Sport Enhancement

Video Analysis
Dartfish software allows players to visualize and evaluate their tennis game while on the court with a Topnotch Tennis Professional. In addition, each player receives a CD containing footage of all strokes accompanied by verbal and visual analysis from the expert team of Topnotch tennis professionals. Twenty-four hour advance sign-up is required.

Morning Stretch
The Spa Fitness Staff offers a daily morning stretch to help reduce injuries and increase strength and flexibility before joining the Topnotch Tennis Center staff for “Play to Win.”

Sport Psychology Seminars
Participants in our sport psychology seminars learn stress regulation methods, goal-setting skills, visualization techniques, burnout recognition and peak performance characteristics. Twenty-four hour advance sign-up is required.

Social Engagements

May – October
Professional Exhibitions
Join other participants after the Tennis Academy at 5:30pm every Saturday for an exhibition by Topnotch Tennis Professionals, rain or shine. Hors d’oeuvres are provided.

Group Dinners
Tennis Academy participants are welcome to attend group dinners with the Topnotch Tennis Professional Staff. Group dinners are on Saturday evenings at 7:30pm.

Amenities

Match-Arranging
The Topnotch Tennis Staff can assemble singles, doubles, or mixed doubles matches with players of comparable ability. Twenty-four hour advance sign-up is required.

Ball Machines
Topnotch Tennis Center is home to “Boomer” and “Slam.” Boomer is an interactive ball machine and can call the lines, keep score, and play a match at any level. Slam helps competitors get the most of workouts. It can be set up to hit any shot anywhere on the court permitting players to drill to their hearts' content.

Permanent Court Time

Permanent Courts are a great way to guarantee tennis play every week with a player’s own tennis group. Balls and subs are provided upon request (depending on the number of weeks booked). For more info, call the Topnotch Tennis Welcome Center for details.
