Fitness Center Class Descriptions
Agility, Speed and Balance - Designed especially for tennis players, this circuit style class will utilize props such as the agility ladder, steps, and cones for a workout that will concentrate on better foot movement on the tennis court.
Aqua Intervals - Circuit training in the water!! Get a great strength workout at a pace that is great for all levels of fitness. Come on in and splash your way to fitness!! Indoor Pool.
Beginner Iyengar Yoga - Learn the basics of the Iyengar method. Precise postures and lots of practice with an experienced instructor will give you all the tools to start building a yoga practice. Beginners only please!!
Deep Water Challenge- Using aqua belts for floatation, get a great body workout in deep water environment. Adult pool.
Box and Tone- Kickbox-style workout which focuses on punching and kicking moves for the first half of the class and toning moves for the second half. A full all-body workout!
Bosu and Powerball- A progression of challenging exercises will tone and strengthen specific major muscle groups, while smaller internal muscles will work continually to stabilize your body against the movement of the ball. This class will use the Bosu ball and Swiss balls for balance work.
Cardio Step- Step is back! Join this class for a great cardio workout with the step moves that get the heart rate up! Class will finish with some abs and stretching.
Got Core? - An abdominal and lower back circuit training class. A great class for people who don’t like classes!! Great for all levels!!
Gentle Yoga - Iyengar yoga just for seniors! Learn all of the benefits of yoga for vitality and health. Challenge the body and mind to achieve a new state of mind.
Hydro Power - A challenging water class utilizing different exercises, such as interval training and circuit stations to challenge all muscles.
Interval Core Training - All body conditioning using freeweights, bands, balls and featuring Gliding™ for leg conditioning, core strength and cardio intervals.
Iyengar Yoga - Iyengar yoga is a dynamic series of postures that focus on precise alignment. The use of props help the body into the correct position so that one can work in a safe range of motion.
Morning Stretch - A gentle rhythmic stretch that improves circulation and flexibility for the whole body.
Open Yoga - A collection of different yoga styles to strengthen and stretch the body.
Pilates Allegro Semi-Private - In this class, students will work at a 5:1 student/teacher ratio learning the essentials of the Pilates Allegro reformer. These exercises will strengthen the abdominals, back, legs and arms. Numerous exercises can be performed on the reformer. Class cost is $25.00 per person and limited to 5 people per class. Pilates for Skiers - Mat and standing Pilates exercises focusing on core and leg strength, balabce and stability for skiing.
Pilates Ball - Improve back strength, posture, core stability, muscle balance, mobility and flexibility using Pilates mat exercises and more with the ball.
Pilates Mat Class - This class introduces you to the classic mat exercises developed by Joseph Pilates. Exercises are done consecutively to give the body a challenge of breathing and coordinating the abdominal muscles for fit, toned core.
Pilates Power Circle - This class will challenge the core strength and improve endurance, overall body tone, flexibility and balance. The power circle adds resistance to the Pilates Mat exercises.
Restorative Yoga - This class uses a sequence of 4-5 postures supported by cushions and blankets. You will be eased into a complete state of deep relaxation. No yoga experience necessary. This class is limited to 6 participants. Please sign up in
advance at the spa desk.
Sports Conditioning Circuit – Circuit training for the athlete! 12 to 15 stations are set up to challenge strength and balance in the muscles. Fast-paced, timed intervals for a high-intensity workout. Intermediate or advanced levels of fitness recommended.
T’ai Chi I / Chi Kung - A gentle, holistic Asian movement exercise. This series of movements develops and enhances health, energy, relaxation and well-being (40 minutes). T’ai Chi II (Immediately follows T’ai Chi I) - Experienced T’ai Chi students are encouraged to stay to learn and practice more advanced moves (40 minutes).
Tone Up Time - This class will provide intense toning exercises using bands and free weights. It finishes with a great stretch cool down.
Vinyasa Yoga - Iyengar yoga is a dynamic series of postures that focus on precise alignment. The use of props help the body into the correct position so that one can work in a safe range of motion.
- Have some fun dancing to the international styles of salsa, cumbia, and other Latin-inspired dances. Get a great workout for the whole body while toning muscles and moving to the music.
Proper footwear is required for all activities. Classes and activities are for ages 16 and up. The pools are closed during Aqua Classes from 11am – 12pm. Save on Personal Training! Purchase 5 sessions for $325. Purchase 10 sessions for $600. (Sessions regularly $75 each.)
